Summer Slingin 02 was a lot of fun for everyone involved!

The pros played for a guaranteed $250 purse!
1st place Pro won $125.00
2nd place Pro won $75.00
3rd place Pro won $50.00
All Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced players received a
players pack with a disc!
Every Novice, Female, and Master won a prize!
There were Closest-To-Pin and Longest-Putt prizes on
different holes during every round!
Breakaway Disc was there with discs and accessories available
for purchase.
The Oyster Bar catered a great BBQ lunch for donations.
The tourney was followed with another BBQ, and then a nice
service, led by Greater Portland Bible Church Pastor Jon Sturm and Youth Pastor
Full-On Dave Underwood, with great music from the youth band, too!
The format was: 3 rounds of 12
holes each. 1st round mixed
groups, 2nd and 3rd rounds seeded groups. Max group: was 4., The field was 40 players.
This was not a PDGA or Oregon Series event. No PDGA card was required, no non-PDGA fee was assessed. PDGA rules applied.
Pre-registration, and pre-payment were greatly appreciated.

No one hit an ace, so we threw off for it. There was a layup line at the pin, and your
disc had to be beyond it or hit chains to even count. Well, Jeremy fired a bullet backhand that crashed into the heart
of the chains and into the basket, to take the $33. No one else could get their one shot into the hole.
